Music Tuition

Music Tuition

I am a fully qualified music teacher offering beginner to advanced tuition on a range of musical instruments and disciplines. I have extensive experience as both a private tutor and classroom teacher and can help you unlock your true musical potential.

Alongside my employment as a part-time Music teacher in a high school, I have a number of private pupils, and I also engage in freelance work for Lancashire Music Service. I hence regularly deliver high-quality excellent Music education to young people in classrooms, workshops, assemblies, small group and private tuition.

For peace of mind, I hold an enhanced DBS, which is available upon request.

Online lessons

If you’d prefer lessons from the comfort of your own home, or live further away, I do offer online lessons. I have plenty of experience teaching online and, during the Covid pandemic, I successfully guided pupils from across the country through their instrumental performance grades.

If you’d prefer online lessons, just let me know when you first get in touch so we can make the right arrangements for you.

Instruments

Don’t have your own instrument? No problem! If you’d like to try one out, I have instruments you can borrow for FREE; simply provide me a deposit, and you’ll receive this back when you return it after 6 weeks. If you decide to continue, I’ll lend you your chosen instrument FREE of charge for the lesson. I currently have a clarinet, saxophone, flute and recorder available.

When you’re ready, I can then guide you through local instrument rental options and offer advice on the best way to go about purchasing an instrument of your own

The Studio

The space includes music stands, instrument stands, professional speakers for backing tracks, a full piano, and a high-quality recording setup. We can even record your playing — great for tracking your progress or simply enjoying a fun studio session!
